Judie Anne (Eager) Barker, 66 years, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully December 14, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Saturday, from 9 AM until funeral services at 2 PM. Fr. Jack Loughran, Pastor of Light of Christ Catholic Parish, Deerfield, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

Born September 14, 1945, in Bay City, MI, she was the daughter of Louis and Cecilia (Van Sumeren) Eager. She married Roger Perreault. She then married John “Jack” Barker, June 6, 1975. He died in August, 1991. Judie attended Monroe Community College and Saginaw Valley State College.

Judie was a biological mother of six and a heartfelt mother to many. As a young woman, Judie was a magazine model and moved quickly into motherhood, and later became a Certified Hospice Aide, working in the Bedford area. She was a 29 years resident of Petersburg, raising three children as a widow of her late husband, John Barker. Judie had a smile for all, and loved music and dancing. Her home was continuously filled with love and laughter. Her family and friends will mourn her spunk and warm home welcome to all.

Surviving are: her life partner, Larry Scollon; son, Anthony Perreault; daughters, Chantell Perreault, Amanda Barker, Ashley Barker, Chelsey (Ryan) Delotte, Kimberly Barker Kurek; brothers, Donald (Carol) Eager and Gary (Pat) Eager; grandchildren, Chonye, Quentin, Killian, Sunnie, Drake, Mandi, Austen, Jackson, Lillian, Christopher, Emily; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, a brother, Robert Eager, and a sister, Lola Anderson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
